AWS - HowTo check the limits for my AWS account running instances, EBS or dedicated hosts from console

 

In this blog post, let us see how to check or see the AWS account limits against no. of running instances, dedicated hosts, security groups per instance, EBS etc from AWS EC2 Management console

Pre-requisite:

• An active AWS account
• Permissions to access and browse through AWS EC2 Management console

Steps:

• Login & Navigate to the AWS EC2 Management EC2 console
• In the left, click on the menu option "Limits" to view the various limits on the current account
• Now select the required service and check the limits against the AWS account

Note:

• Select through the different services like "EBS", "Dedicated Hosts" to view the max limits against each of the options under these services. This comes handy in understanding the status of the account/env on hand
