In this blog post, let us see how to use the AWS EC2 vCPU Limits calculator to find out the vCPU needed as per our requirement and against varied instance types
Pre-requisite:
- An active AWS account
- Permissions to use the AWS EC2 management console
Steps:
- Login and navigate to the AWS EC2 Management console
- Click on the "Limits" -> "Calculate vCPU limit" menu from the console
- It takes to the new window, where the "Limits Calculator" appears with options to select on "Instance Type", "count" and based on which the vCPU is calculated and presented (see the example below)
Note:
- Just after calculating the required vCPUs, we can as well be raising requests for limits increase for the same
